Classes will be offered at Cardozo Senior High School in the first part of the program and students in their senior year will take courses at the UDC Hangar at the Reagan National Airport. Students would be able to obtain as many as four college credits while still in high school.
Course offering will include:
- Introduction to Aviation
- Aircraft Metallic Structure
- Aircraft Materials and Processes
- Aircraft Reciprocating Engines
In addition to Aircraft Maintenance, the Academy will also offer
Aersospace Engineering as part of its Project Lead the Way Pre-Engineering pathway. Finally, TransTech Academy will explore curriculum that will lead students to a career in
Air Traffic Control.
