Mrs. Shirley C. McCall, coordinator of TransTech Academy, Isaiah Adams, Shayla Thomas and Bria James, TransTech Academy students were featured on WPFW 89.3 FM, 2K Nation. The broadcast took place on November 20. Mrs. McCall and the students shared with the listening audience the expanding programs offered by TransTech Academy. Isaiah and Shayla are seniors in the Electro-Mechanical Technology Training Program and Bria James, a sophomore, is in the first cohort of pre-engineering students. Isaiah has been in the Academy since 9th grader. His father is an employee with Metro. Isaiah who is in the EMTTP career pathway has goals of working for Metro and going on to college. Shayla interests include possibly working for Metro after she has completed studies in film making. She stated that she hopes to make documentaries and other media for Metro. Bria is excited about learning how to use Computer Aided Design (CAD) and can see its usefulness as she explores her interest in photography.
